Abstract
A review will be given of branches of the development of multiple
inference the past twenty years. During this period there has been a
major development of closed tests, step down tests and step up tests. The
important questions of directional methods has received much interest but
only a few scattered results are obtained. In recent years there has been
developed some methods for multiple confidence sets related to stagewise
tests. Are they reasonable and possible to use? What new ideas are
appearing in multiple inference?
