Directions to the hotels
Hotel Ljungbacken
To find Hotel Ljungbacken, you should first
find your way to Matematiskt
Centrum. From there, continue Eklandagatan westwards about 100
meters until it ends. Walk down the stairs that you find straight
ahead, and turn left. After another 100 meters, you find the hotel
on your left. It is a large
wooden building; Ljungbackegatan 6.
Hotel Vasa
From Landvetter airport, you can either take a taxi directly to the hotel
(Viktoriagatan 6), or take the airport bus to Drottningtorget/Central
Station. From Drottningtorget, you can take tram line 2, direction
"Högsbotorp", and get off at "Vasa Viktoriagatan". From there,
continue just a few steps ahead (in the tram's direction), and turn
right on Viktoriagatan. After 100 meters, you have the hotel on your
right.
Hotel Lilton
From the airport, either take a taxi directly to the hotel
(Föreningsgatan 9), or take the airport bus to Drottningtorget/Central
Station. From Drottningtorget, take tram line 2, direction
"Högsbotorp", and get off at "Brunnsgatan". Then walk about 200 meters
back (in the reverse of the tram's direction) and turn right on
Föreningsgatan. The hotel will then be on your right after about 100
meters.
From the hotels to Matematiskt Centrum
Hotel Ljungbacken is just two minutes walking distance from
Matematiskt Centrum. Hotel Vasa and Hotel Lilton are both about 25
minutes walking distance from Matematiskt Centrum. Alternatively,
from Vasa, walk 300 meters to Vasaplatsen, and from there take bus 60
(direction "Fredriksdal") to Pilbågsgatan, which is right near
Matematiskt Centrum (the big yellow brick building that you passed
on your right). From Lilton, you can take the tram back towards the
city center (direction "Biskopsgården"), get off at "Vasaplatsen",
and from there proceed as from Vasa.
