  Literature

These books on Finite Element Methods are recommended:

Computational Differential Equations, K.Eriksson, D.Estep, P.Hansbo and C. Johnson, Studentlitteratur 1996

For interested students:
The  Mathematical Theory of Finite Element  Methods, S. Brenner and R. Scott

  Schedule for the course

We meet on Mondays 13-15 and Fridays 10-12 in MVF22.

Schedule

 Examination

The examination of this course consists of two projects which are made in groups of two persons:

The grade on the course is based the amount of work put into the project and on how well it is performed. See the project descriptions for more details.

ODE-project

This project is about writing a Matlab-program solving an Ordinary Differential Equation and it is the same project as in Scientific Computing.

ODE-project

  PDE-project
