TMS031 DESIGN OF EXPERIMENTS (Spring 2008)

Projects

The course includes two projects. The first one is a given problem to solve. The aim is to find an optimal construction of a helicopter. Regarding the second project the task includes to formulate the problem to be solved by means of design of experiments and statistical analysis.

It is an advatage to work in a project group. Try to form groups of maximum four participants.

Each group is welcome to consult the project advisor for 15 minutes to discuss the design of the experiment before running the trials. It is not compulsary but highly recommended to use this opportunity.

Consultation

At the consultation, please, bring a short preliminary report including (i) the design of the experiment, (ii) the defining relations of the design, and (iii) the alias structure. The consultation takes place in the office L3071 of Dmitrii Zholud of the Department of Mathematical Sciences.

Submission of the project report

The project reports are submitted in the IN file of the course outside the office L3071 of Dmitrii Zholud at the the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Corrected reports are returned in the UT file of the course.
