Reimbursement for medical attendance and medicines

Reimbursement for medical attendance and medicines

If you have been to a physician you get the patient's fee back (maximum 125 kr) if you fill in the form Ersättning for läkarvård (Reimbursement for medical attendance) - employees at Chalmers, employees at Göteborg University - and send it along with the receipt to the personnel administrator. The reimbursement is taxable.

The same procedure applies to other medical care treatments (maximum 55 kr from Göteborg university, the full amount from Chalmers) and subsidised prescription medications. Put the computer-printed, sticky label that you get at the pharmacy on the form. You must ask for a prescription receipt (receptkvitto) for your employer when you are at the pharmacy, otherwise you will only get a cash receipt and that is not enough.

If you are employed less than 40% of full time or paid on an hourly basis, there is no possibility to get reimbursement for medical attendance or medicines.

Reimbursement for travelling expenses, if any, connected with medical attendance is requested at the regional social insurance office.
