Stochplam
Stochplam is an add-on to the algebraic modelling
language PLAM by Alexander Bockmayr and Peter Barth.
The
modifications extend PLAM to handling stochastic programming
problems. Stochplam will output either SMPS-files, or an intermediate
file format readable by the open source nested Benders solver BNBS .
PLAM
Plam (ProLog And Modelling)
is an open source modelling language written in prolog. Plam may be
found at ftp://ftp.mpi-sb.mpg.de/pub/guide/staff/barth/plam/.
requirements
In order to run stochplam, plam is needed. See above for download details.
Plam in turn requires a Prolog interpreter.
The recommended one is SWI-Prolog, an open source implementation.
usage
Stochplam may be used and modified free of charge for
any purpouse. It may not be redistributed at a fee.
Do note that stochplam is an addon to PLAM, and
that you must adhere to the usage rules of PLAM.
A short note describes how
stochplam works. download
Stochplam may be downloaded here. It has only been tried on sun solaris and linux,
but as it runs in SWI-Prolog, it should work on other systems as well.
