I graduated from University of California, Berkeley with PhD in Statistics in May 2003. My dissertation was on Max-type Recursive Distributional Equations and I worked under the guidance of Professor David J. Aldous. To see a summary of my dissertation click here.

Currently I am at the Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, as a postdoctoral fellow for two years in the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, working under Professors Jeffrey Steif, Olle Häggström and Johan Jonasson. Before coming to Gothenburg, I spent an year (September 2003 - August 2004) at the Institute for Mathematics and Its Applications, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, as a postdoctoral member, and worked with Professor Ofer Zeitouni.

My main research interest is in mathematical probability. In particular I am interested in random graphs, probability on tress, combinatorial optimization and mean-field statistical physics problems, recursive distributional equations, and recursive tree processes, branching random walks, percolation theory, interacting particle systems, Markov chains and their mixing behavior, and random walks in random environment.
