Course will be covered in six lectures

Mondays   25/2, 4/3, and 11/3   13.15-15.00   in room   S2 

Fridays   22/2, 1/3, and  8/3   10.15-12.00   in room   S1


First lecture  is thus this Friday, 22 February, at 10.15 am in S1.

Literature  will be, mainly, chapters 2-4 in the classic book

SIMMONS: INTRODUCTION TO TOPOLOGY AND MODERN ANALYSIS, McGraw-Hill 1963.

(Xerox copies are available from Patrik, for temporary use.) There will
be some exclusions from these chapters, and some inclusions from others.
Participants are strongly encouraged to "read ahead", before lectures.


Grading Proceedures  Grading will be handled by means of "hand ins" (in-
===================  lämningsuppgifter).


Language  for course will be english.

Second part of course  (weak convergence, 6 credits) starts week 12, and
=====================  will be preceeded by new introductory meeting.
