Course material 2015

Image analysis and spatial statistics (called IASS in Schedule), notes by Mats Rudemo. Will become available from the Internet (see Notes below).
Computer exercises (called CE 1 - 4) by Mats Kvarnström. Available from the Internet (see Computer exercises below).
Some papers, in particular the master thesis by Mattias Andersson (called WACC in Schedule) will be used in Lectures 3 and 4. The papers are available from the Internet (see Literature below).

Examination

Examination consists of a written examination and approval of a project report, including giving a seminar on the project. The written examination counts 50% and the project counts 50%.

Note the guest lectures by Johan Villyson and Jonathan Ahlstedt Gyllbrandt from Volvo Cars Corporation (planned for Moday March 30, 10.00-10.45) on the use of LIDAR to get information on the surroundings of a car:
Johan Villyson: Robust tracking of dynamic objects in Lidar point clouds
Jonathan Ahlstedt Gyllbrandt: Extracting road properties using a Lidar scanner

The course project should preferably be decided on Monday April 20 and not later than Wednesday April 22. Note that there is no teaching in week 15 and 16 from April 6 to April 17. Note also seminars on projects May 20, 25 and 27. Written examination June 3 and delivery of project report before June 5 at 12.00, see details in Schedule below.

Written examination Wednesday, June 3, 8.30-12.30 presumably in house V (Väg och vatten). Precise information on room will be available at house entrance. Literature and notes may be brought for the examination. Neither pocket calculators nor computers are allowed at the exam. (Re-exam 20 August 2015, see below)
