TMS065: Probability and Statistics, an introductory course

A 3 point undergraduate statistical course (CTH, Bioteknik) starting on January 20, 2003.

Prerequisite: basic course in calculus

Time table:

  • Lectures: Mondays 13.15-15.00, room KS101, Tuesdays: 10.00-11.45, room KS101

  • Lab session: Wednesday, February 26, 13.15-17.00, lab rooms I and J at the Mat. Centrum

    1. An obligatory group (up to 4 students in a group) assignment (click here) is to be handed in by March 7 to Ilona Pylvänäinen.

    2. The final exam is closed books with open-notes (max four A4 pages) and a calculator.
    Exam date: March 8, 14.15-18.15 at the V-house.
    Reexamination 1: April 23, 14.15-18.15 at the V-house.
    Reexamination 2: August 21, 8.45-12.45 at the V-house.
