The course (doktorandkursen) will deal with the questions of global existence, finite time blowup, asymptotic behaviour of the solutions and related topics for nonlinear hyperbolic equations.
Different techniques with their power and limitations will be presented.
The course ends with some survey lectures on recent results, e.g. weighted Strichartz estimates, small critical exponents, large data solutions, low regularity results, viscoelasticity results. These lectures should be of interest to a broader audience.
