[home, week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4, week 5, week 6, week 7]

Theory

Goal: To understand the concepts 'limit' and 'continuity'.

Reading: Adams: ch 1.

Matlab

Goal: Basic functionality. Numbers, built-in functions, datatypes, vectors, arrays.

Reading: Jönsson: kap 1, 2, 3.1-3.5, 4.1-4.4, 4.6, 4.10-4.12, 4.14

Teaching

Lecture 1.1: Limits and continuity. 1.1 - 1.3

Studio 1.1:
Jönsson övningar kap 1: 3 (don't use the format bmp, use jpg, eps, or pdf instead)
kap 2: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
kap 3: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10
(If you do not finish these exercises during class then you must do them some other time, in school or at home. In fact, I expect you to spend lots of additional hours with Matlab, in school or at home.)

Exercise 1.1:
Demo: 1.1: 5, 6, 7, 8. 1.2: 23, 54, 74. 1.3: 3.
Exercises:
1.1: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13
1.2: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 13, 15, 17, 23, 47, 48, 49, 50, 53, 54, 55, 74, 75
1.3: 1, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 15, 35, 37, 39

Lecture 1.2: Limits and continuity. 1.4 - 1.5

Studio 1.2:
Jönsson övningar kap 4: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 14, 15, 16, 17
(If you have time: kap 5: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 )
